The Difference Between DoFollow and NoFollow Links in SEO

If you have a website and try to apply SEO techniques, you probably have practiced backlinking on your site. There are two types of backlinks-

1. Dofollow Backlink

2. Nofollow Backlink.

Dofollow Backlinks:

Dofollow Link is a hyperlink that is able to tell all search engines to pass the SEO strength, or "PageRank" of the page to the site that it links to.

If you will use or get do follow links then the crawlers follow the link and land on other webpage. search engines will count your link in the eyes of google, yahoo, bing etc as backlink for your site and you can get some positive value for your site ranking. If you want to get indexed in google and rank high on google then you have to focus on dofollow backlinks. If you get or use dofollow links, then search engines will decipher your links as backlinks and you have more chances to receive positive values for your site’s ranking.
Example,
Dofollow Link= < a href=”http://om-service.blogspot.in/”>

Nofollow Backlinks:

Nofollow Link is exactly the opposite. It is a hyperlink that removes the ability to pass on it’s page rank status to other sites.

Nofollow links can be relevant to your post’s context and can come from the sources which have a potential to generate high referral traffic. Nofollow backlinks are ignored by search engine crawlers. Whenever you are linking to any website which is not of high value then use rel="nofollow" attribute in your html of the webpage. Nofollow links are not for crawling links by search engines which influence the rank of a blog or website in the search engines.

Example,
Nofollow Link= <a rel=”nofollow” href=”http://example.com”>
Or  <a href=”example.com” rel=”nofollow”>Example</a>

Always try to go for Do-Follow links, as Google crawls and indexes it. Secondly Do-Follow link is not a simple backlink like No-Follow, it flows Link juice which helps improving the page rank of the respective URL.

Secondly I will clarify that both give backlinks, the only difference is Google crawls and Link Juice. No-Follow links are also good for gaining traffics. So I recommend try giving more Do-follow links but don’t stop giving No-Follow links.

What RSS Mean, and How to Use It or Where Do I Use It?

You can use it to build a base of people on the net that want to hear what you have to say, so they subscribe to your blog, or you may want to write some good articles and post them in the blog and through your RSS feeds, they have a greater possibility of getting picked up by other media outlets and posted on their sites or used in their newsletters.
